WhatBots.io helps businesses manage WhatsApp conversations and automation. How deletion works depends on who you are:
That business (not WhatBots.io) decides how long to keep chat history and contact details. To ask for deletion of your messages or profile information held by them, contact the business directly (e.g. the phone number or brand you chatted with).
Meta also provides tools and policies for WhatsApp users; see Meta’s help resources for options that apply on WhatsApp itself.
You can request closure of your workspace account and deletion of associated personal data we hold as a data controller for the Service (e.g. your user profile, email, and workspace configuration you control), subject to legal retention needs.
How to request deletion:
We will confirm identity where reasonable and respond within a commercially reasonable time (typically within 30 days unless your request is complex).
Message content and metadata may be stored to provide live chat, automation, and logs. Workspace administrators can manage or remove much of this through the dashboard where features exist; otherwise contact us as above. Some records may be retained if required for legal, security, or dispute resolution purposes.
Data exchanged through the WhatsApp Cloud API is also subject to Meta’s terms and technical controls. Deleting data in WhatBots.io does not automatically delete all copies Meta may hold under their policies.
